A Sweet Mistake

Today I decided I was going to make my first round of banana chips. My in-laws lent us their air fryerand so I wanted to give it a try. I found a recipe on Pinterest and followed it to a T…. however, I guess I didn’t think that the quantity would make such a difference- but boy did it. So, after 30 minutes of air frying I gave up and figured I wouldn’t have banana chips, however I did think that banana peanut butter chocolate chip cookies would be delightful. And they were!

Here are the ingredients. Now the directions are a bit tricky because who really wants to sit there and air fry something for 30 minutes just to get mushy bananas?? Aint nobody got time for that. So, two options- you could get banana baby food (don’t judge- it is delicious) or just use extremely overriped bananas. Either I think would work! But if you are bored and have an air fryer than fry on with your badself – just make sure you don’t get chips on accident – you want just oober soft “m” word bananas!


  • 1 ½ cup Organic Quick Oats
  • 2 tbsp. dark chocolate chips
  • 4 overripe bananas
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 2 tbsp. pb2 powder


  • Combine all the above
  • Bake at 350 for 7 minutes
  • Cool on wax paper
  • Yields 18 yummies
